Four House System
The house system began 45 years ago in the year 2033. The names allotted to these four houses by Founder/Principal Mrs. Urmila Lama after the names of the four important rivers of the nation. The concept behind this according to Mrs. Lama is, “As these tiny rivers flow through the nation and finally submerge into big seas & oceans, so as the children who begin their journey of knowledge in Gautam School finally venture to big universities throughout the vast world.”

Karnali House
Karnali House (Red House) is named after the mighty Karnali River which begins its trail from the glaciers of the Sagarmatha to the Far Western Development Region of the nation. The motto of the house “Abiral Gatishil” (Continuous Improvement). The pupils of this house represents the spirit of continual improvement rather than static perfection.
Gandaki House
Gandaki House (Green House) is named after the striking Gandaki River which begins its trail from the prominent summit of the Sagarmatha to the Western Development Region of the nation. The motto of the house “Adwitya Anantata” (Never-ending Triumph) The pupils of this house represents the spirit of everlasting success
Narayani House
Narayani House (Yellow House) is named after the majestic Narayani River which begins its trail from the splendors of the Sagarmatha to the Central Development Region of the nation. The motto of the house “Abhijeet Yatrarat” (Un-ending Journey of Determination). The pupils of this house represents the spirit of persistent devotion towards their goals.
Koshi House
Koshi House (Blue House) is named after the grand Koshi River which begins its trail from the colossal avalanches of the Sagarmatha to the Eastern Development Region of the nation. The motto of the house “Vishalta Gahanta” (Colossal Depths of Vision). The pupils of this house represents the spirit of splendid vision.
